TWITTER ISN’T ELON MUSK’S JUST YET.

Getting the Board of Directors to accept might have been the easy part. Don’t forget there’s still a swamp to cross.

Even though Twitter’s Board of Directors have agreed to sell Twitter to Elon Musk, he (and we, for that matter) are not in the clear. Not when there’s interested and invested third-parties known for playing dirty. And not when they’ve already shown there is no beast nor billionaire that is too big of game for them to maim and dismember.

It’s already been reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission has been investigating Musk for potential corporate workplace violations. And it just so happens that Gary Gensler, the Chair of the SEC, might just know a thing or two about manufacturing a devastating smear campaign. As Chief Financial Officer of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign, payments the DNC and the campaign made to Fusion GPS for financing the Russia Hoax flowed through his office’s doors.

After installing a “poison pill” defense to impede Musk’s ability to purchase a controlling stake in the company, Twitter’s board made an about-face decision and instead accepted Musk’s original proposal to purchase the company at a premium. It’s been speculated by even Musk himself that the threat of litigation from shareholders challenging the board’s decision to refuse Musk’s offer could be all the leverage he needed to persuade stubborn minds. The immense burden such lawsuits would impose on Twitter’s board, and the company’s operations more broadly, would be devastating. Even without the potential for a criminal probe, the civil damages sought in the aftermath would be incalculably high. But what if there was a way for Twitter’s board to retain control of the company while avoiding personal financial ruin?

Is it possible Twitter’s board decided to approve the deal with some knowledge or suspicion that those crooked third-parties I mentioned earlier would thwart Musk’s endeavor for them? Would it be that unreasonable to speculate entities within the Executive and Legislative branches coordinating with the media to preserve control by any means necessary?
